Who is Jihad Akl?
Jihad Akl was born in 1968 in Beirut-Lebanon. At the age of five his father started to teach him classical music and he continued to do so, for twelve years. He moved to study oriental music, arrangements and distribution. At the age of six, Jihad won the Kids Genius award from the Lebanese national conservatory of as the youngest violin player.
At the age of 14, he was the youngest violinist to join the Lebanese Radio stations. Jihad Akl started to adopt a unique violin approach by mixing the Oriental with the Western music styles.
The great violinist won several international musical awards namely, The Lions and Murex D’or, in addition to several courtesy shields from different countries.
He led orchestras in several musical festivals in Lebanon and other Arab countries and participated in several concerts held at the Egyptian opera House, in Mawazin concert in Morocco as well as others, including several charity concerts in Washington for saint Jude NGO and seeds of peace in NY sponsored by the queen of Jordan In addition, London, Paris, Italy, Spain, and other European countries.
Jihad Akl composed and released a lot of musical Albums and video clips.
